From the home I love

I’d like to give you some background as to where I currently live as to identify contrasts to this in my travels.

I live in Victoria, Australia, on a peninsula about an hour and a half from the well known city of Melbourne. For many, my location seems rural, however compared with the country towns and outback locations in Australia, it’s not even close to being that solitary.

My house is a 5 minute stoll from a protected beach in a bay that is flourishing with sea life which you can snorkel and explore on almost any day. And famous surf beaches such as Bells Beach are accessible with just a short drive along an endless coastline.

I consider myself very lucky to live where I do and at this stage in my life, I can’t imagine calling anywhere else “home”. I already know that the coming months are going to be a dramatic change and way out of my comfort zone as I will be far far away from the home I love.
